Greeting from a new residence!
Over this past moth I moved out of an apartment and into a house that I've been painting and getting ready for two months. The walls are painted, the fixtures changed, and the rooms cleaned top to bottom and i'm still not quite settled. I assume that's pretty normal right?
This time feels different than all the times I've moved. I wasn't forced to move due to a divorce, parents relocating, romantic relationships ending, or friendships going horribly wrong. This time i made the decision on my own terms. I chose the color on the walls, I got to say what goes where (although i'm not doing it completely on my own thanks to my dear friend .), I get to make this place my own and in my own time! How refreshing!
In the interest of being completely honest, I have to give credit to my good friend L for helping me with the decorating process so far. What a blessing she has been! If it wasn't for sweet L I'm pretty sure everything would still be in boxes.
I've sorted out boxes that have been in storage for 2 years, given more of my stuff away then I've kept, and cried over some of the memories that were brought back so strongly, it was as if they were happening right that moment.
I'm so thankful to be starting this new chapter of my life, fresh and uncomplicated. I'm sure that the Lord has great things in store for me on this new adventure!
Cheers until next time!
